Meet Me

Hi, I’m Trisha Dullu

“I am an artist. My hair is sometimes wild & my studio is always messy. I get up in the middle of night to paint and sometimes sleep till noon.

I am an artist. I speak to the stars and the moon and always have music playing in my head. I am absent- minded but I know where all my color tubes are.

I am an artist. I care about the passion inside me. I am all about soul, love and energy… all the things you feel deep inside.

This is the Only thing I truly know to be!!

Yes, I am an Artist

and I am hoping to warm your hearts with my Art.”

Artist Statement

I find beauty in the fleeting moments of life—the stories we leave behind and the possibilities ahead. These moments are full of contradictions, yet they resonate deeply, offering optimism amidst the complexity of human emotions. My art explores the impermanence of life, where everything is in constant flux, and it celebrates the beauty and strength found in human resonance.

Through my work, I invite viewers to pause and reflect on the delicate balance between what was, what is, and what might yet be. I seek to express the fragile equilibrium of our inner worlds, where joy and sorrow, connection and isolation, coexist.

I am drawn to the textures of natural decay—distressed wood, peeling paint, rusted nails, cracked walls, bare trees—and the layers of history found in the forgotten corners of cities. These textures become my language, embodying the fragility and resonance I aim to capture.

My process is intuitive. Each piece evolves organically, combining free-flowing forms with geometric structures. I respond emotionally to both the materials and the moment I want to capture. This unplanned engagement allows my emotions to shape the final form. Through this process, I hope to convey not only life’s impermanence but also the quiet beauty found in moments of decay, transformation, and renewal.

Ultimately, my art is an exploration of life’s transience and an invitation to embrace the ever-present possibility of change and renewal.

Biography

Trisha Dullu is a visual artist whose practice explores themes of impermanence and the beauty found in imperfections. Inspired by forgotten urban spaces and organic textures, her work reflects a deep engagement with materiality and abstraction. She primarily works with acrylics, ink, and charcoal, often incorporating experimental mixed media to create layered, evocative compositions.

Trisha's artistic journey began in 2016 at the esteemed Sapumal Foundation in Colombo under the guidance of sculptor and artist Sarath Chandrajeewa. She held her first group exhibition in Colombo in 2020. Her work has since been showcased in both solo and group exhibitions, including a solo show at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (December 2022), and group exhibitions at Art Junction, Lalit Hotel, New Delhi (January–June 2023). Most recently, she presented a solo exhibition at Gallery FourLife, Colombo, in May 2024.

Her works are available for curation through Colombo-based Curado Art Space and lifestyle concept stores Raux Brothers and Pendi Lifestyle Store. Additionally, select pieces are featured in online galleries Terrain Art and Panteo.

An Indian artist currently based in Sri Lanka, Trisha continues to push the boundaries of her creative practice, blending organic textures with emotive themes through experimentation and self-guided exploration.
